Computational Nanoscience, University 0f South Carolina
The University of South Carolina seeks to hire two tenure-track
faculty members in computational nanoscience in one or more of the
following departments: Biological Sciences, Chemical Engineering,
Chemistry, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering,
Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics. Successful
candidates will have the ability to conduct computational
nanoscience research that augments and complements existing USC
expertise, including catalysis (with special emphasis in fuel cell
and hydrogen technologies); nanoelectronics; bio/nano particles;
polymer nanocomposites; and mathematical models and computational
approaches for understanding signaling networks in a cellular and

The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry jointly with The USC
NanoCenter at the University of South Carolina invites applications
from materials scientists with a strong background in soft condensed
matter physics and chemistry with a special emphasis on
bionanomaterials for a research position. This Research Assistant
Professor, non-tenure track appointment in the Department of
Chemistry & Biochemistry and the NanoCenter will be initially for
three years. The successful candidate will join the
NanoBiotechnology research team and will be responsible for managing
the daily operations of the W. M. Keck Open Laboratory for
Bionanoparticle Technology. We are looking for candidates with a
Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemistry or related areas, postdoctoral
experience, and a strong publication record in addition to research.
Candidates must also have expertise in nanoparticle synthesis,
bionanomaterials or polymers research. All candidates must possess a
broad knowledge in EM, AFM and synchrotron x-ray scattering. Please
