Electron Beam Irradiation Stiffens Zinc Tin Oxide Nanowires

The authors established a remarkable phenomenon, namely that electron beam irradiation significantly enhances the stiffness as measured by the Young’s modulus of zinc tin oxide (ZTO) nanowires (NWs). It increased up to 40% compared with the pristine NWs.
